Sherborn Rural Land Foundation
A local land trust protecting Sherborn's
natural beauty & resources for the future
The Sherborn Rural Land Foundation was founded in 1974 to provide the community with an efficient vehicle for land acquisition and protection as well as a tool for sound land use planning. Our organization has had great success in protecting many acres of scenic beauty for the townspeople to enjoy and for wildlife habitat. It is our desire to continue to work with local officials and other conservation minded organizations in retaining the rural character of our small town. We are a not-for-profit, 501(c)3, tax-exempt organization
The Sherborn Rural Land Foundation has worked closely with private land owners, the Conservation Commission, the Town Forest Committee, The Land Acquisition Committee, the Forest and Trail Association and other Land Trusts in making available several hundred acres for passive recreational use.
Currently there are five trustees and ten associate trustees who are working with others in meeting our goal to preserve open space environments and natural resources. We hope you will join us in our efforts and we thank you for your support.
